I am grateful for all the podcasts, YouTube lectures, books, and health articles mentioned below. It’s important to note that most of the websites were funded by healthcare providers, which may introduce a bias towards maximizing revenues for the providers. Understanding their perspectives on reforming payment systems, particularly the shift from the fee-for-service model to reimbursements based on the value of care rather than the volume of care, was crucial. The initiatives by providers to adopt high-value care and minimize low-value care helped me disseminate this information to patients and their advocates. The insights from the UK sites and the reputable information from the charitable foundations were invaluable in my research.
